Attending my cousins Wedding and had booked 2 rooms.. I telephoned the hotel to let them know we would be arriving very late at night and this was not a problem. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and staff very efficient and polite we were made very welcome. We asked if we could have an extension on our check out time in the morning as due to our late arrival the night before we were yet again running out of time....We had an extra hour which we were very grateful for....It allowed us to enjoy our beautiful cooked breakfast....I would not hesitate to stay in the Glenfarg Hotel on another occasion.
At the late time we checked in there was no dinner available. A guy at the bar helped us order take away and that worked out nice! Breakfast was tasty!
Great little budget hotel, staff friendly.Food very good.Just a nice place to stay.I Fully recommend the Glenfarg Hotel.
Easy access to the Edinburgh Airport.
Nothing to do in the town - at all.... You have to go to anothet town to experience something.
Reservation not confirmed when arrived, need to argue about the reservation, room not clean, shower broken... My recommendation will be easy and simple: find something else...
The food was excellent and plentiful.
The beds were very uncomfortable extremely hard and had blankets which activated an allergy instead of duvets. I can't remember when I last slept in a bed with blankets. The ensuite was very dated and the hot water in the shower was only just lukewarm.
Friendliness of the staff, good food (top quality steaks), and a quiet, relaxing lounge area. Also the hotel is very dog friendly. Coco loved all the attention!
Like so many hotels it could do with improvements, but in this financial climate the owners have their priorities correct; first attract the guests and look after their needs. I shall be back.
Good atmophere and value for money, staff were good and helpful.
Whilst the internet was available couldn't access it during my stay a security problem? Internet is a necessity when on business trips.
The staff were amazingly friendly, and the rooms were a good size, clean, with comfortable beds. Would definitely stay there again.
The shower was a little small if you're on the bigger side, but I'm just being picky as to answer the question. I couldn't find very much to fault at all
Very spacious bedrooms, everything you would expect. Garden attached to hotel very pretty.
Friendly staff, good breakfast if a trifle expensive!
Very small room. No lampshade - bare bulb. Kettle not working correctly. Not particularly clean. Close to staircase so could easily hear other guests arriving late at night.
It was in a nice quiet village location which made for a nice restful break, I liked the park area surrounding the hotel. It was also close to Perth which was handy for shopping entertainment etc.
We were not very happy with the cooked breakfast for example for 7.95 each there were no cereals or fruit juice that you could help yourself to, and we were never asked if we wanted any although it was on the menu, one sausage, 2 rashers of bacon,mushrooms,1/2 tomato, toast with no jam selection. The second morning we went into Perth for cooked breakfast for £4 each was far superior.
We chose Glenfarg because it looked nice on the web page and was quite economical. The bedroom looked so nice and cosy and was so warm we had to turn off the radiator. Excellent for older people who feel the cold!. The evening meals were very good and very well cooked and plenty to eat. Female staff were very nice and pleasant and helped to guide us via phone to the Hotel after we got lost.!!
We had downloaded directions to the Hotel from the web page. Oh dear they were completely and utterly wrong. We went miles out of our way because we were directed to Perth because the directions said Glenfarg Main Street Perth!! Our journey was a disaster as the directions dont mention that this Hotel is in glenfarg not Perth. Luckily after 3 hours extra driving the Hotel reception guided us "in " to Glenfarg. Glenfarg itself is only sign posted once and you have no idea where your going through country lanes until your find it. We were on the verge of just booking in at the nearest Hotel or b&B. !! The bedroom design and comfort was nice and on the whole its pleasing.although dated and downstairs to the parking area needs a refurb as its a bit grubby. The garden tables and chairs are in need of a makeover! The "Continental" breakfast was expensive at nearly £6 each and I think thats a lot for just cereals, toast that was as pale as a ghost (very cheap brown bread) very cheap orange "juice" and ordinary instant coffee. No signs of a brioche or croissant! No fresh coffee and just a few oranges and apples in a bowl. Not good value considering how nice evening meals were!!
The Hotel was clean and well located for Perth.
Poor attitude of hotel staff - very unhelpful and dismissive. No hot water in my room in the mornings, so if you want a shower save it for the evening.
Restaurant is lovely the meal was really nice.
I think the hotel needs updated inside but from the outside te hotel looks lovely
